Louisiana Green Schools Youth Summit

The first Louisiana Green Schools Youth Summit is designed to bring together student leaders grades 5-12 that are interested in creating more environmentally sustainable schools. Students/student groups that are interested in sharing their projects and experiences in greening their schools will have opportunities to learn what is happening across the state in the student-driven green schools movement. The Summit is free and slots will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Link below.

8:30 – General registration opens

8:30-9:00 – Exhibit hall time

9:00 – 10:00 – Concurrent breakout session 1

10:10 – 11:10 – Concurrent breakout session 2

11:10-11:40 – Exhibit hall time

11:40 – 12:10 – Lunch

12:15 – 12:45 – Keynote address

12:50 – 1:40 – Concurrent planning session

1:50 – 2:30 – Awards Ceremony, Closing address

The Details

  • All students or student groups should be accompanied by a chaperone while attending the Youth Summit. There will be a hospitality room available for chaperones.
  • Attendees bring their own brown bag lunch.
