call for speakers

Speaking proposals are now being accepted for the 5th Annual U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Louisiana’s FORWARD Symposium being held virtually throughout October 2020.

The 2020 theme is Louisiana Moving Forward. The event is designed to bring Louisiana’s diverse green industry professionals together to propel the state’s sustainability conversations forward. FORWARD attracts USGBC member and non-member business professionals, environmentalists, architects, educators, nonprofit leaders, and students. The symposium creates a platform where leaders can collaborate and explore what’s happening across Louisiana and how we can move Louisiana toward a more sustainable and brighter future. We are interested in what municipalities or institutions are doing to move toward less energy consumption or less reliance on fossil fuels. Or how Louisiana can move beyond the pandemic with greener solutions in mind.

Speakers must be comfortable presenting on a digital platform such as Teams, Zoom, or Webex and have access to their own equipment and internet. The format could be a presentation and/or a panel discussion or a virtual.

The deadline for speaking proposals is August 15, 2020

Additional information on the FORWARD Symposium is available here.
